Updates

 

All the following updates are made available at no cost with a valid license.

To update your version of the HomeSchoolClerk Reporting Software you should open up the Maintenance/Settings Tab and click on the "Check For Updates" button.  Updates usually take less then a minute to download using a DSL or Cable connection.

 

 Version 1.3.1     Completed Date:  January 21, 2010

  • New Edit Screen added to the IHIP and Quarterly Report screens for easier readability and editing.  This can be used instead of the Grid format.  The Grid is still available.

  • Spell Checking has been added to the Subject Name, Description & Publisher fields when using the new IHIP and Quarterly Report Edit Screen.

  • The Print Order was fixed for the IHIP and Quarterly Reports (Professional Templates only).

  • Removed Print Order field from the Grid.  The new Edit Screen allows for moving the order of items.

  • The program now opens at the same location and screen size from the previous session.

  • Added new "completed" status to Menu Buttons and modified button colors to identify the current screen.

  • Added new Splash Screen when opening the application.

  • Added ability to change the school year in order to preview past years and prepare for the next school year.

  • Made the School Year viewable on all screens.  This is useful when previous school years are being viewed.

  • Added an AutoSave option which will save changes to a Student's IHIP, Quarterly Report information and Year-End information automatically.

  • Updated the Curriculum Provider information.

  • Added a Renew License link to allow for easier renewal of an expiring license including the ability to upgrade the Demo license.

  • Added the ability to export the HomeSchoolClerk Reporting dates for use in the free Report Reminder application.

  • Automatic checking for updates has been added.  This will identify any new releases that are available and ask if they should be applied.

 

Version 1.2.1.27/28   Completed Date:  November 16, 2009

  • Minor update to workaround an issue during registration.

 

Version 1.2.1.12      Completed Date:  October 28, 2009

  • Bug fix for Vista 64 bit machines to correct the following error:  Exception error loading address table.  MicrosoftJet.OLEDB, 4.0 is not registered on the local machine

  • Starting with this version the required Microsoft .Net Runtime is 3.5 SP1.  This will be installed during the download if not already present.

 

  Version 1.2.1      Completed Date:  August 12, 2009

  • New consolidated Preview and Print (Report Viewer) function to replace the older Print & Print Preview fuctions.  (This is optional and the older Print & Print Preview functions will continue to be available).

  • The new Report Viewer includes newer more professional looking layouts for the IHIP and Quarterly Reports.

  • Capability to export your reports to an Excel Spreadsheet or a PDF file.  This allows for the emailing of your reports to the school district.

  • Ability to delete old or duplicate reports.

  • Coversheets will now be saved for historical viewing.

  • Now allows a new school year to be initialized even when the previous year tasks were not completed within the software.

  • Changed security setting on the server that was preventing registration when the computer's clock was off by more than 5 minutes.

  • History reports created with the new Report Viewer are now viewable using the free Adobe Reader.

  • Adobe Reader is required starting with this release.  You can download it here:

  • Fixed installation issue that was displaying the following error message:  "The application requires assembly ADODB version 7.0.3300.0 be installed in the Global Assembly Cache"

 

 Version 1.1.1      Completed Date:  March 28, 2009 

  • New Templates for the IHIP and Quarterly Reports allowing for information to be printed in a paragraph format instead of a single line format.

  • Expand the row height on the IHIP and Quarterly Report grids in order to view expanded write ups for the IHIP Materials and Quarterly Report Narratives.

  • New optional setting to allow for a single assesment line for the Quarterly Report.

  • New optional setting to allow for the Enter key to act as a newline instead of exiting a Grid Cell during edits.  This will assist the keying of expanded write ups.

  • New optional setting to hide the publisher column to make more room for entering materials.
