Will the HomeSchoolClerk Reporting Software work in my state?
The HomeSchoolClerk homeschool software was originally designed to ease the
burden on New York Homeschoolers. But, please look at the DEMO page and the
sample reports to determine whether it will help in your state. We welcome
emails at
customerservice@hsclerk.com if
you are from another state and would like to use the HomeSchoolClerk. We are
looking to expand our reporting capabilities to make this a great homeschooling
resource and your input will help us proceed.
Will my school district accept the HomeSchoolClerk forms?
For New York State, it is certainly our opinion that they should, but, there are
times when school districts request information that is not required by the
regulations. We strongly recommend you get a copy of Section 100.10 of
Regulations of the Commissioner of Education and read it very carefully. The
ultimate decision is in your hands but do not hesitate to send us an email at
customerservice@hsclerk.com if
you have specific questions or suggestions. If you homeschool outside of New
York State there may be requirements that are not met with the HomeSchoolClerk.
Please look at the DEMO webpage and kick us off an email if you have any
questions or suggestions to improve the software for your state.
Is the HomeSchoolClerk designed to be Record Keeping software?
The HomeSchoolClerk was not designed to be record keeping software although it
does have some of those capabilities. You enter or pre-fill the curriculum
materials at the beginning of the year. During each quarter you enter the
grades for each subject and at the end of the year you print out a year-end
evaluation. All the information that you enter is retained for reference
similar to record keeping software. Since the HomeSchoolClerk was not designed
as record keeping software you should review the DEMO page to make sure it will
do what you are looking for. If you have any questions or recommendations for
expanded record keeping capabilities please send us an email at
CustomerService@hsclerk.com.
